Urge Budget Conference Committee Members to Support Dismas House Funding

State lawmakers must work out differences between the House and Senate versions of next fiscal year’s state budget.   While the House version included funding for Dismas House, a provider of transitional housing and services for persons who have completed their time in prison, the Senate version did not. 

Please contact by phone or email the following members of the Senate and House conference committee that will be proposing a final budget for both branches to consider.  Urge each conferee to support the House provision, line-item 8900-0001, that proposes continued funding for Dismas House. 

Your message can be as simple as “I am calling/emailing to urge the budget conference committee to continue funding for Dismas House as proposed in the House budget, line-item 8900-0001.”
